At Maps Credit Union, we believe in the power of education to transform lives and strengthen communities. Our long-standing partnership with Chemeketa Community College reflects that belief in action. For many years, we have proudly supported Chemeketa’s mission to make higher education and vocational training accessible and relevant to students across our region.

Currently, we contribute $13,000 annually to the Chemeketa Foundation’s scholarship fund, helping students overcome financial barriers to pursue their academic goals. In addition, our team members—regularly teach financial literacy classes, ensuring students gain essential life skills that support long-term success.

Many of our own employees are proud Chemeketa alumni. Over the years, we’ve also partnered closely with the college’s workforce development programs to help students explore careers in financial services, providing hands-on training and mentorship.

As Chemeketa looks to the future, the renewing of the upcoming bond, which is not a new tax, represents a critical opportunity to modernize facilities and expand access to cutting-edge technology to ensure continued excellence in career technical training. These improvements are vital for preparing the next generation of professionals—many of whom will go on to serve our communities in essential roles.
