Liberty House’s team of trauma specialists serves over one thousand children every year, providing medical assessments, forensic interviews, family support, and trauma-focused therapy. The organization has known for some time that families who live in remote areas of Marion and Polk Counties cannot always access Liberty House because they have no way to get to their campus in North Salem. Our $25,000 Impact Partnership Grant will support the purchase of specialized equipment for their new satellite office in Woodburn that will serve all of North Marion County. This new location will include space for medical assessments, child forensic interviews, family support, and trauma-focused counseling, as well as conference space for collaboration with professional partners. Kathy Moore (MCF Board Chair) and several Maps employees joined Kim Hanson, MCF Executive Director, to present the check to Alison Kelly, Liberty House Executive Director, and her team.
