2018 Scholarship Winners

The academic year is coming to a close, which means we have selected our 2018 College Scholarship winners! Eight local high school seniors will receive scholarships through Maps Credit Union and its charitable arm, the Maps Community Foundation.
 
It is our pleasure to award these exceptional students with the following scholarships. Congratulations! 
 
Maps Credit Union Scholarship: 
Meglacey Hirschfelder and Michelle Suarez Alvarez

 
Meglacey is graduating from Silverton High School and will attend University of Montana, majoring in human biological studies.
 
Michelle is graduating from Sprague High School and will attend Oregon State University, majoring in chemical engineering.
 
Maps Business Partner Scholarship:
Daniel Dang

 
Daniel is graduating from McKay High School and will attend Whitman College, majoring in computer science. 
 
Earl Littrell Scholarship:
Evan Harvey, Kellie McSween, Sandra Labate, and Tyler Miller

 
Evan is graduating from West Salem High School and will major in marketing and international business. 
 
Kellie is graduating from South Salem High School and will major in international business. 
 
Sandra is graduating from West Salem High School and will attend the University of Northern Colorado, majoring in education and business.
 
Tyler is graduating from McKay High School and will major in engineering. 

 
Dan Penn Scholarship:
Jamie Vo and Sandra Labate

 
Jamie is graduating from West Salem High School and will major in business administration. 
 
Sandra is graduating from West Salem High School and will attend the University of Northern Colorado, majoring in education and business.

Mitzi has been with Maps Credit Union since 2001, starting as a teller working her way up to branch manager before moving into the role of community development officer. Within this role, her primary focus consists of asset building and strengthening our community. A native Oregonian, Mitzi was born and raised in Coos Bay, lived in Springfield in her teen years, and finally settled in the Salem area in 1999.
