It’s Youth Savings Month!
Published March 31, 2015
Every April, credit unions around the country celebrate our young savers with special events, giveaways, and activities designed to help build good financial habits from a young age.
This is part of the National Youth Savings Challenge, presented by the credit union trade association CUNA.
At Maps, we traditionally host a drawing, coloring contests in our branches, and special giveaways.
This year, CUNA has expanded the challenge to the entire month of April.
Here’s what we’re doing at Maps.
Enter the in-branch drawing for cash prizes.
Open a new Youth Savings Account in April and receive a free Moonjar while supplies last. A Moonjar is a foldable and colorful coin bank that shows kids how to plan for the future and build their dreams by learning to save, spend, and share.
All of our members under 18 who makes a minimum $10 deposit April 20–25 will receive a Maps stamp and free candy bar. And you can make your $10 minimum deposit every day that week to get up to six stamps!
Maps stamps can be redeemed for fun rewards. Find out more.
