At Maps, a commitment to education and life-long learning is a part of our roots. After all, we started as a teacher’s credit union almost 90 years ago. That’s why we are proud to award scholarships each year to exceptional local high school seniors. Recipients are selected based on academic achievement, extracurricular activities, demonstrated leadership and community involvement, financial need, and application responses.

2024 Scholarships

In 2024, Maps distributed over $50,000 in scholarships to support local students intending to continue their education after high school. Each year, several scholarships are designated for students of color, first-generation college students, and Career Technical Education (CTE) students, however, preference is given to Maps youth members. All scholarship awards are selected annually by a scholarship review committee, except the Phil Frey Memorial Scholarship which is chosen by family members.
