The Maps Business Partner Scholarships are reserved for seniors from West or McKay High School who have been active members in the Business and Management classes and those who have worked with the Maps High School branches.
Our High School Branches
The Maps Credit Union High School Branch Program offers students valuable job skills and training in the financial industry. Student Tellers don’t just learn about banking, they run their branches. Under the guidance of school advisors and Maps professionals, they also teach their peers the importance of budgeting and saving. Over the years, our Student Branches have been invaluable for students interested in leadership roles or careers in finance. But, the program has also been invaluable for us! Several High School Branch program participants have gone on to have careers at Maps Credit Union.
Maps currently operates two Student Branches. We employ 11 student interns and around 20 student tellers between McKay High School (the Royal Scots Branch) and West Salem High School (the Titan Branch). Working in tandem with our Financial Education and Scholarship Programs, Maps is helping students take their education to the next level.
“Working as a High School Maps Branch Teller has been a huge help in my overall growth within working in the field of business as well as my growth in a general career,” says Student Teller Lucus Kimsey. “I have been able to sharpen skills in several ways that will aid in setting myself up for success in my future education and career path.”
Since its 1995 start, the Maps High School Branch program has received lots of attention and accolades from educators and businesses across the country.
